The construction of the new warehouse, which is connected to the existing production premises, took place from March to October 2022. The hall has a green roof and is planted with climbing plants on two perimeter walls. With this type of construction, Proxim places emphasis on eliminating the impact of construction on the environment with regard to preserving the existing greenery to the greatest extent possible. The green roof and climbing plants on the perimeter walls reduce the influence of radiant heat from the building envelope to the surrounding environment in the summer months, flowering climbing plants are a refuge for insects, the composition of the green roof largely absorbs rainfall. The proportion of rainfall that is not absorbed by the substrate of the green roof is captured in a retention tank, which serves as a source of water for irrigating climbing plants on the perimeter walls. This ensures effective retention of water in the given location.
The new warehouse will enable a significant increase in storage capacity and thereby increase the company’s flexibility in meeting customer orders. At the same time, two new loading ramps will increase the efficiency of loading and unloading and allow more trucks to be served when loading materials and shipping finished products.
