Chlorshock Granular

CHLORSHOCK GRANULAR is an agent that is used one-time in cases where the quality of water in a pool treated with CHLORINE TABS or COMBI TABS agents becomes much worse, often in connection with the occurrence of algae, due to a number of circumstances, e.g. due to temporarily neglected care of the pool or as a result of high air temperatures or storms.

Product information

Before the product is added, the pH value must first be checked using the respective tester and altered, if necessary, using pH-MINUS or pH-PLUS to a value from 6.8 to 7.6 according to the instructions for use printed on these products.
The usual dosage is 90 g of the product per 10 m3 of water in the pool; this dosage may be increased or decreased depending on the level of impurities. The product is slowly poured into the skimmer while the water circulation is switched on so that the granulated product is gradually drawn into the circulation system. The measured amount may also be dissolved in a suitable plastic vessel in advance and the created solution may then be slowly poured into the skimmer while the water circulation is on. Algae killed this way are partially filtered off with a suitable filtering unit and the remaining algae should be removed through flocculation by using FLOCCULANT according to the instructions for use on the product packaging. Do not use the pool for swimming during the water shock treatment because the chlorine concentration is too high for that. Use of the pool can be resumed after the chlorine concentration has dropped to below 0.5 mg/l. When the water is clean, CHLORINE TABS or COMBI TABS may be used for water treatment again.”
